What you need to know
Here’s an outline of everything on the page to help keep you informed before and during the event.
Per the event schedule, we have three types of sessions: workshops, general lectures/panels, and lightning talks. We provide lunch, snacks, and enough breaks so you have time to use the restroom, stretch your legs, talk to other attendees, and chat with our amazing sponsors. We have social events in the evenings to allow you to network and relax with other attendees.

Where to go on campus
Main venue: Lavin-Bernick Center
The majority of our event will take place at the Lavin-Bernick Center on the campus of Tulane University.
Visitor parking: Dibboll Parking Garage and Claiborne Parking Lot
Visitor permits are valid in the Diboll Garage 2nd floor through 6th floor and the Claiborne parking lot. Permits are not valid in reserved spaces or meter/ParkMobile spaces.

Lodging: Barbara Greenbaum House
We will stay in the Barbara Greenbaum House, only a few blocks from the main LBC venue. Visit our lodging page for more information.

Event Safety and Responsibility
We are committed to providing a safer environment for conference attendees, especially with regard to community and public health, and have implemented Event Safety and Responsibility policies for the 2023 conference at Tulane University in New Orleans.

Donate and support a local organization
Starting in 2018, WPCampus began a tradition of donating a portion of our event budget to a local charity instead of providing attendees with conference swag. Learn more about our donation process
For this year’s event, we have chosen to support Living School. A representative from Living School will join us at our Opening Remarks to tell us more about their organization.
About Living School
Living School is one of the newest, most unique, and most diverse public high schools in Bulbancha / New Orleans. Our Legends learn by doing to improve our lives, communities, and environment. Our Legends build, publish, advocate, restore, install, repair, program, debate, and heal through rich projects, internships, and entrepreneurship throughout our school and community.

WPCampus depends on our volunteers to make this event a success. There are lots of ways you can help us out. Please let us know if you’d like to volunteer at the event. We’d really appreciate it.
Order the event t-shirt
If you’re unable to join us in New Orleans, you can still get your own event t-shirt!
You can order the event t-shirt online and have the shirt delivered straight to your home.
Joining us in person? If requested, you will receive a shirt as part of your registration. But if you want to order more from the online options? Go for it!
All profits from the t-shirt sales will go to the Living School, the local nonprofit we are supporting at this year’s event.
Check-in for the conference
You will need to check in to receive your conference ID badge. Your badge is your golden ticket of admission to all the fun!
Check-in will be before workshops on Wednesday, July 12, and the morning of Thursday, July 13.

Social gatherings
What’s the fun of attending so many awesome sessions if you can’t hang out with the other attendees and talk about and expand on what you learned? We look forward to getting to know you, so we hope you’ll be able to join us for a few social and networking events.
Wednesday: Welcome Reception
After the workshops are complete, join us for our welcome reception! All registered attendees (not just workshop attendees) are welcome to attend.
Thursday: Game Night
After sessions, meet up with new friends for dinner and then join us for WPCampus Game Night!
This will be our second official WPCampus game night. The first took place in 2018 and was home to the creation of our beloved mascot, Truck Sheep.
Friday: After Party
Get ready to party like it’s 2023! After a day of learning and networking, it’s time to let loose and have some fun! Connect with fellow attendees, meet new friends, and dance and sing the night away. This is the perfect opportunity to unwind and enjoy the vibrant culture of New Orleans. Learn more about the party

Meals
We’ll provide lunch on Thursday and Friday with coffee and snacks throughout the day. Light hor d’oeuvres will be served at all social events.
We will provide a snack break if you attend a workshop on Wednesday.

Pack. Your. Umbrella. It is going to be hot and rainy this week in the Big Easy. If you’re planning on having some around-the-town adventures, you’ll want to be prepared. Don’t trust the rain to help dissipate some of that humidity; it could get gross.

Attire
